La Leche League is an international nonprofit, nonsectarian

The WWU Associated Students Child Development Center (CDC) is a
NAEYC accredited parent cooperative childcare program for student
parents and working professionals of Western Washington
University. Operating on a sliding fee scale, the CDC serves 56
children ages 2-5 per quarter. The program manager and teaching
staff provide a safe and healthy environment for young children,
supporting the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual
growth of each child.

First Steps is a program that helps low-income pregnant women get
the health and social services they may need. These services will
help you be a healthy mother and have a healthy baby. First Steps
is available as soon as you know that you are pregnant. You can
apply for First Steps by visiting your local Community Service

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and
Children, popularly known as WIC, safeguards the health of

information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care. For

The Interfaith Community Health Center (ICHC) is a mission driven

Earn While You Learn (EWYL) is offered free of charge at the
Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic in downtown Bellingham. EWYL
provides education to pregnant and parenting women and their

relationships, nutrition, and more. As participants cover these
topics and meet personal goals, they earn Mommy Money and Daddy
Dollars to spend on baby supplies in the Baby and Me Shoppe at the

HEALTHY FAMILIES WHATCOM COUNTY –
Healthy Families Whatcom County is a free and voluntary program of
Brigid Collins that helps expectant parents and parents of infants
and toddlers, understand their needs, use community resources, and

LOVE AND LOGIC PARENTING CLASSES –
These parenting classes provide practical tools and techniques
that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with
their children. Classes are based on a psychologically sound

MOTHER BABY CENTER –
Mother Baby Center’s mission is to be Whatcom County’s highest
quality provider of health and support services for pregnant and
postpartum women, their babies and their families. In-home
services include Mother/baby assessments, baby weight checks,
treatment for infant jaundice, premature baby follow-up,
assistance with breastfeeding from lactation consultants, and help
with new parent issues. Mother Baby Center also has resource rooms
