Sitting In The Dust

This support group creates a safe space for both parents to share their story and discuss what grief looks like. This group is led by a certified Birth and Bereavement Doula who is additionally certified in Reproductive Grief Care and has personally gone through baby loss. In this 6 week support group the following is discussed as a group:

  • Identifying Losses
  • Stages and Attributes of Grief
  • Styles and Tasks of Grieving
  • Disenfranchised Grief
  • Men and Grief
  • Purpose and Hope Through Grief
  • Navigating Events After Loss
  • Honoring and Memorializing Your Baby
  • Healthy Coping Mechanisms

After the group meets for the 6 weeks, families have the opportunity to join a local online community for continued support. Families will be invited to free events throughout the year in this online community with the focus of participating in healthy coping mechanisms and providing opportunities to honor and memorialize their baby. In this online community, families can share their hard days and things that have helped them along their journey through grief.
