If you think you may be pregnant, our medical staff can answer your questions and administer a pregnancy test that is fast, accurate and confidential. Any woman seeking a pregnancy test is welcome at WCPC, and walk-in appointments are available.
What to Expect
Plan for your appointment to take about 45 minutes. Though the actual pregnancy test will take just five minutes, please allow time for paperwork and the intake process.
WCPC properly stores and handles pregnancy tests to preserve accuracy. The clinic’s test results are 97-99% accurate. If a woman suspects she may be pregnant, she can be tested even before a missed period. WCPC pregnancy tests are effective as early as 7-10 days after conception. Our medical staff sign off on the result of every test. If you receive a negative test result, but continue to experience symptoms of a pregnancy, you are welcome to return for a retest after waiting a few days.
WCPC uses a urine analysis pregnancy test to detect hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). The test consists of placing drops of urine on a prepared chemical strip. The strip is designed to detect the pregnancy hormone hCG. hCG is released into the body when a woman is pregnant. This hormone is responsible for causing some of the initial symptoms of pregnancy.
As a medical office under HIPPA laws, all WCPC services are confidential. In addition, there is no process to qualify for services.
WCPC welcomes any woman seeking a pregnancy test or an ultrasound regardless of her age, race, income, nationality, religion, disability, marital status or other circumstances. For all services provided, there is no charge, no process to qualify and no hidden costs. Patient information is confidential, and only disclosed as required by law.
